Think BIG - Karen Robinson
In 1 Chronicles 4: Jabez prays “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and your hand might be with me, and you would keep me from harm so it might not bring me pain.” Jabez’s name means pain. That is right Pain. His mother named him pain. Imagine having a name like that. He however in spite of this he asks God for a significant blessing. He challenged the limitations of his circumstances. He thought outside the box. He didn’t want to live under that label of pain. He decided he wanted something better for his life.
Donald Trump says
“I like thinking big. If you’re going to be thinking anything, you might as well think big.” This quote encapsulates his approach to business, real estate, politics, emphasising audacious goals and large – scale ambitions.”
But in order to think big we need to ditch old mindsets. One thing we can have is tunnel vision, we can refuse to see the bigger picture or expand our thinking.
Are you stuck in a rut? Do you feel often overwhelmed? Or do you constantly think about things without making any headway?
Thinking big is the only way to break this cycle. Thinking big is believing in your potential and overcoming obstacles. God wants us to stretch our faith. He wants to show up in ways we never imagined.
So here is the challenge for all of us: stop thinking small. We should align our perspective and get into agreement with God’s vastness rather than our own limitations. We can think big and pray big, because God is bigger than our problems.
So, I encourage all of us to think bigger- brighter and better, because we serve a great big God and he makes all things possible.
